    I will never forget the day I met Jenna. I had just moved to a new city and was expecting my first child. Jenna was just starting on her birth support professional path. I knew what a doula was, and I knew they were good to have, but never did I comprehend the full possibilities until Jenna joined my birthing journey. The support through my pregnancy was very reassuring. In moments of stress or conflict between OB appointments, Jenna was calm, encouraging, and gently guided me to remember my own voice. Often, as first time mothers we are nervous and rely on other practitioners to take care of us and the baby, but Jenna reminded me to remember my own choices. She was incredibly respectful in the hospital at the birth, and was able to advocate for me and stay by my side. After our first experience together, there was not even a question in my mind of who I would call for my second baby. This time Jenna was part of a birthing team and helped me remember to trust the birth process, without machines and medical equipment, in my own home. Her rhythmic, quiet and steady voice guided me through each contraction and grounded my fearful, rising energy. She was attentive after the delivery, and I always looked forward to our home check-ins. Well, I got even luckier when Jenna became a midwife! Because of our connection, and her constant support years down the road, she worked her magic by delivering my third baby! This last delivery had a moment where I almost thought of giving up, but her skillful hands and knowledge of procedures helped me get over that hump and bring another little bundle into this world. I truly believe that the outcomes of my births would have been very different had Jenna not been involved, and to this day I am grateful for us bumping into each other on our walk.

    Jenna was the most amazing support for my birth with Remi. My first child was born in the hospital, and I had such a desire to have a birthing experience that empowered me versus took away my power.

    I first met Jenna as I navigated my third pregnancy as a VBA2C patient; she was one of four midwives that was overseeing my prenatal care at the time.     I just finished a Reiki session with Jenna and now I totally get why Reiki with her is an important part of my preparations for birth.
